From collection to recycled material: quality throughout the entire process chain
PET is one of the most important plastics for the circular economy. Modern recycling processes enable valuable secondary raw materials to be recovered from used PET packaging, which can then be reused in a wide range of applications. The quality of the recycling depends on many factors: from the purity of the feedstock and high-performance processing technologies to rigorous quality controls throughout the entire process chain.
An efficient recycling cycle begins as soon as a PET bottle is returned to the recycling stream by distributors, bottlers or consumers. Only when the materials are collected and processed correctly can high-quality recyclates be produced.
Our PET recycling plants meet the very latest technological standards and are constantly being further developed through ongoing investment in our machinery. In this way, we create the conditions necessary to meet the market’s growing demands and our customers’ high quality standards.
Comprehensive quality management is an essential part of our work. Through regular analyses and checks, we ensure that our products consistently meet the highest quality standards. Among other things, we test particle and granule sizes, bulk density, residual moisture, intrinsic viscosity (iV), colour deviations and foreign substances such as metals and wood. In addition, colour values and volatile substances are continuously monitored.
Regular tests carried out by independent external laboratories, as well as annual audits, confirm our compliance with our high quality requirements and ensure maximum transparency and safety.
